Greater Hattiesburg is well-positioned to be a leader in Mississippi for advancing racial equity. As one of the few regions in the state experiencing significant growth, this community also has several promising strategies already in place–three Early Learning Collaboratives, robust Career & Technical Education and workforce training programs, healthcare infrastructure that reaches directly into under-resourced schools and neighborhoods, and a business community that is willing to commit to this work.
