Job Profile

The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for all membership retention activities and some new membership development efforts in close coordination with the Membership Director. The Investor Relations Manager will drive efforts to assure increased membership investment revenue and enhance member engagement amongst the business community. The position demands the highest standards of professional conduct at all times. The Investor Relations Manager is a non- exempt position. Investor Relations Manager reports to the Membership Director.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in business, sales/marketing, communications or related field is required. One to three years of prior experience in a professional office environment is preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact positively with members, Board of Directors, partners, staff and community leaders
  • Make retention calls and visits
  • Make new member sales calls each month in close coordination with Membership Director
  • Assist Membership Director with scheduling & attending ribbon cuttings
  • Perform in a team environment and assist when needed outside the normal scope of responsibilities (i.e. events, administrative tasks, etc.)
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to members, partners and community leaders
  • Assist Membership Director to achieve monthly membership goals
  • Assist Membership Director with Ambassador Committee and related events (i.e. Membership Appreciation Week and Warm Welcome Receptions)
  • Assist with Pine Belt Young Professionals retention efforts
  • Analyze Aged Receivables and report on progress and retention strategies
  • Work collaboratively with Membership Director on database management
  • Oversee all aspects of annual membership audit

  • Must be highly motivated, goal oriented, and well organized
  • Possess impeccable oral and written communication skills
  • Effectively work both collaboratively & independently, determine priorities, make appropriate decisions, and meet deadlines
  • Anticipate and effectively deal with a large number of details with concurrent and overlapping deadlines for completion
  • Work effectively under above average pressure
  • Ability to organize, process and maintain records and files
  • Occasionally work long or irregular hours
  • Other duties will be required as assigned by the Membership Director
